About Us
The cancer survival prediction calculators on this website were designed and constructed by a team of researchers at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) led by Samuel Wang, MD, PhD. Dr. Wang is a health services researcher with an interest in building clinical prediction models from large cancer databases for making estimates of prognosis and outcomes.
A practical application of this work is to use these survival models to build interactive web-based prediction calculators (online nomograms) that can make individualized outcome predictions for cancer patients.
Dr. Wang is an adjunct faculty of the Department of Radiation Medicine at OHSU.
