The National Institute on Aging (NIA) announces the annual Summer Institute on Aging Research, a weeklong workshop for investigators new to aging research, focused on current issues, research methodologies, and funding opportunities. The program will also include consultations on the development of research interests. The 2002 Summer Institute will be held July 27–August 2 in Airlie, Virginia. Support is available for travel and living expenses. Applications are due March 8th. To increase the diversity of participants, minority investigators are strongly encouraged to apply.
