    INTRODUCTION

 INTRODUCTION

The meeting should provide authoritative state-of-the-art lectures, in-depth presentations and analyses of various topics (symposia), as well as room for new results (posters, short presentations) and for open discussions of controversial subjects (workshops). New approaches and new methods will be presented and discussed. Sufficient time will be reserved for discussing all the presentations. Chairmen will be encouraged to bring to light the unknown, the debatable, and the discarded.

List of topics

  1. Membrane receptors (serpentine, channels, tyrosine kinase, others)
  2. Signaling cascades (protein and lipid kinases/phosphatases, etc)
  3. Nuclear receptors
  4. Control of gene expression, protein synthesis and degradation
  5. Effects on metabolism, mitogenesis, apoptosis, differentiation, and other cell functions
  6. Signaling to the cytoskeleton
  7. Related diseases and signal transduction therapy
  8. Others
