Because of a printing error in a source (Cancer Incidence andSurvival Among Children and Adolescents: United States SEERProgram 1975-1995, NCI 1999, p. 23), the Stat Bite that appearedin the March 1 issue of the Journal (Black/White differencesin ALL Incidence in U.S. Children, p. 369) incorrectly reportedthe incidence rate of acute lymphocytic leukemia in blacks ages5 to 9. The correct age-adjusted incidence rate is 18.0 permillion.
