Journal’s Impact Factor Increases

The impact factor for the Journal of the National Cancer Institute rose from 12.95 to 14.16, according to the recently released 2000 Journal Citation Reports.

Impact factors are calculated annually by the Institute for Scientific Information and are based on the number of times articles in a journal are cited by other journal articles. The report reflects citations in 2000 to papers published in the Journal in 1998 and 1999.
