Over half a billion children (31%) in the developing world have no toilet facilities whatsoever.
Nearly 375 million children (20%) in the developing world are using unsafe (open) water sources or have more than a 15-minute walk to water.
Some 265 million children in the developing world (15%) have not been immunized against any diseases or have had a recent illness causing diarrhoea and have not received any medical advice or treatment.
This report should be key reading and campaign material for all those concerned with child health and poverty. The emphasis not just on poverty, but on connecting poverty with human rights, will hopefully give this report a better chance of changing the world which it describes.
