With this issue of the journal, Development welcomes a new editor
tothe team. Judith Eisen works at the University of Oregon Instituteof
Neuroscience, where she uses zebrafish embryos and a combinationof cellular,
molecular and genetic approaches to study the wayin which neuronal diversity
is generated during development. In particular, she is interested in
discovering how the correctnumbers of cells are specified for specific
neuronal fates atparticular times and in particular locations. We are
delightedthat Judith is joining the team: she is a superb scientist, and she
brings additional expertise in neural development tothe journal, as well as
being our first `zebrafish' editor.
